3 Bodies Found After Hot Air Balloon Crashes

At the Virginia Festival, a hot air balloon caught on flames and two bodies were found dead after the crash. On Sunday, May 11th, police reported the findings of the third and final body. "All the balloons' safety records were up to date," said hot air balloon inspector. Police investigators have uncovered that the balloon was steered correctly, but somehow wound up flying into the power lines. This is how it caught on fire.
Witnesses captured many photographs of the balloon flying into the power lines and they stated that nothing seemed out of the ordinary except for the fact that it was flying into the power lines.
The first two victims were found on Saturday, May 10th and the third and final victim was found nearby just yesterday.

  • What is the impact of using [statistics/quotations/headings/bullets/personal experience]?
    • The author of the article uses many quotes of witnesses and people effected by this loss. It helps support his point by showing how people felt on the subject and the emotional toll it is taking on the people of the town. During the article, the words "Before Flight Anxiety," were bolded. I believe this was to show how the anxiety the pilot experienced before the flight could have led to this tragic death of these three people.
