False Hope For Flight 370

A search aircraft set out to find flight 370, or what remains of it. When they searched the waters near Australia, they found a couple large orange pieces that they believed to have come from the plane. When they fished it out of the water, it proved to be false hope for all of the families of people on flight 370. Karimi states that "the batteries are designed to last 30 days; the plane has been missing 23 days." This means that if the plane is not found soon, a lot more damage can come than what is already expected.
The author believes that all this false finding has done is create hope for the families of the people on flight 370. This hope was soon destroyed when they found it was just another floating piece fishing equipment in the ocean. This impacts the article because she seems almost hopeless to finding the aircraft.

Thoughts On The New Pill

Zohydro is the latest in pain prescription medicine to introduce itself to us. It may in fact help us, but does it do more harm than good? Many people argue that the world already has too many hydrocodone based drugs. A woman from Kentucky argued, "Too many people have already become addicted to similar opioid medications, and too many lives have been lost." If this is true and we are headed into the same direction, America should take action to stop this from entering our pharmacies.

I believe the author uses many resources to back up her statements. She used many quote from supporters of this side to prove her argument. "You're talking about a drug that's somewhere in the neighborhood of five times more potent than what we're dealing with now," said Dr. Stephen Anderson, a well known doctor from Washington. With this being said, how long will it take before we see people loosing their lives to this drug as well. These types of drugs are physically addictive and could kill someone if it got into their system enough. I believe this should not be aloud to enter our pharmacies. There are man other pain relievers available for people who need it and this should be a more stressed issue.
